I don't generally discuss my guitar playing but someone asked, "Do I use a pick?"
Here's my answer.
"I have been gradually making a transition away from using picks and going to just using my fingers. It takes a lot of work to make that move smoothly especially if you learned how to play guitar by exclusively using a pick as I did. However, the tone is so much better in just about all cases I can think of when you use your fingers instead of a pick."

I agree! The tone is a smoother sound as opposed to picking. I'm sure with your talent that there is no problem with this transition. I love listening to you play and sing as well!! A very talented man!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great question, I'm happy that person asked..and you answered..I prefer the tone of the fingers as opposed to the "plastic to metal" sound of a pick...thanks for the info... :-)
